This concert will feature Copland’s Lincoln Portrait, Haydn’s Symphony No. 100, (Military), Hymn to the Fallen by John Williams,
Hymn by acclaimed Chickasaw Classical composer, Jerod Impichchaachaaha’ Tate,
and a medley of patriotic songs with the Norman Philharmonic Chorus and Orchestra.
Saturday, February 7, 2026 | 4:00 PM | Messages of Hope, Determination and Unity: A Celebration of Black History Month & Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Broadway star, Elvie Ellis, joins the Norman Philharmonic and 200-voice Unity Choir for this collaboration with
Norman Public Schools Fine Arts. The program also in includes an Oklahoma Black Art exhibit, dance ensembles
and selected high school orchestra students performing side by side with the Norman Philharmonic.
On Feb. 6, Norman-area grade-school students will attend a special concert featuring the Norman Phil.

The Norman Philharmonic will wrap up its season with one of the most recognizable and important masterworks,
Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5, Op. 67, C minor. The program will also include Joseph Haydn’s Organ Concerto, No. 2, C major,
featuring organist, Stephen Wurst, and Anton Bruckner’s Te Deum, uniting the Norman Phil,
the 150-voice Norman Philharmonic Chorus and soloists.
